We are currently looking to fill the following positions:

Helpline Coordinator (Watford) 

We are seeking 2 individuals who are able to "hit the ground running". With relevant experience. This role is from 5.30pm-1.30am over three evenings every week, on a seven day rolling rota. Flexibility is essential, primarily working out of Watford. However may on occasion be required to work out of Hemel Hempstead. Pay range £21,391.50 - £22,425.00 FTE per annum pro rata.

You will receive a comprehensive induction on site.

You will working alongside the Crisis Centre Coordinators to offer in-person, 1:1 support to service users who are experiencing a crisis, providing guidance, support and where necessary will signpost to appropriate external service providers and organisations.

You will oversee up to 5 Crisis Support Workers & telephone Support volunteers. You must have a minimum of 2 years experience working within a health, supported housing, social care or charitable organisation supporting individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, crisis or distress. knowledge and understanding of mental health telephone support desirable. You will have proven experience and ability to review incoming referrals, complete the assessment of needs and risks. You will need to be a confident and effective communicator. Good IT skills including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, with proven ability to input and extract data and produce reports when required

Mental Health Support Worker  Job description

This mental health crisis support service, supports adults who may be in, or entering crisis. The support provided is short term, with staff supporting clients to better managed their issues, thus become more stable. The delivery of service may incorporate client centred support planning. The Service is designed to support individuals to help them address their personal challenges, recognise their potential and live as independently as possible.

This role is to become a part of the established team in the delivery of support mechanisms incorporating crisis intervention. You will assist in the organisation of a planned, effective, support interventions for all individuals being referred to the service.

Experience of working with people with a range of different support needs, desirable but not essential as a full induction with ongoing, training and support will be provided.
You must have an interest in delivering high quality support services to people with varied range of need & support.
You must have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally, written and via all media communications.
Previous experience of using computer based systems to accurately record work and client details. I.e. Word, PDF, XL
You require knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and have the ability to address them appropriately.
Full induction will be delivered on site with ongoing support.
No lone working
Telephone & face-to face emphatic communication skills desirable.

Concierge & Security 

Immediate starts available for the right candidate. This post incorporates the following

The delivery of high quality concierge & security, front of house support for vulnerable adults with varied support needs.

As part of the established team You will be the initial point of contact on the phone and in the Reception area.

You will use basic correspondence where appropriate and necessary. I.e. phone, email, face to face, written and oral.
You will be responsible for Implementing security systems, ensuring the overall safety and security of the hostel and the residents.
You will adhere to the requirements of health and safety policies and procedures at all times. Report any incidents of anti-social behaviour. Record all/any events in the daily log book. Flexibility is required as you may be asked to work across several schemes throughout Derby and wider regions.

Experience of working with vulnerable adults desirable but not essential as a comprehensive induction will be delivered on site

DBS/SIA essential.

Waking Night Support Worker 

We are seeking two individuals with an interest and/or experience in the delivery of Mental Health Crisis Support to join our team on a rolling rota. Primarily working Friday's 6.30pm -8am, Saturday's Sunday's 8pm -8am & Monday's 8pm -9.30am. Based in Hemel Hempstead. After your probationary period the opportunity for a permanent position may / will be offered for the right candidates. Outside of these standard hours , various shifts may be offered to you, at other locations within Hertfordshire. Your role will be to support permanent members of staff in the delivery of front line support, incorporating crisis intervention. Experience of working with people with a range of differing support needs desirable but not essential. Experience of delivering high quality support desirable but not essential. A full comprehensive induction and ongoing training will be afforded to the successful candidates. The ability to liaise with external professionals desirable but not essential. You must have the basic skill set to utilise computer based systems to accurately record work and client details. I.e. Word, PDF, XL. The knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately is a requirement. Ongoing training in this area will be part of the induction. No Lone working. Telephone and face-to-face empathetic skills desirelable.
